GUIDED TOURS/VARANGER BIRDPARK We have stopped all traffic inside the Birdpark unless a local guide is present. It is possible to get a guided tour (not using hide) to the Birdpark. That costs 400,- NOK pr. person, minimum 2 paying customers. Groups: Ask for price. Contact us for further info. We prefer that you call us if any questions. Booking has to be done by sending us an e-mail. The Birdpark-area is monitored.

The most popular birds in the Birdpark is normally the Siberian Tit and Arctic Redpolls. It has been observed several Arctic Redpolls at feeder at the same time. The Siberian Tits is normally coming to the feeder in pairs.

In the Birdpark, in connection to the main passerine-feeder, we have a hide.

Registrated breeding in our birdboxes: Tengmalm's Owl, Northern hawk Owl, Siberian Tit, Common Redstart, Common Tit, Pied Flycatcher, Willow Tit, mixed nesting Siberian- and Willow Tit, Arctic Redpoll, Redpoll etc…

In the Birdpark, there are also benches, a marked track and different birdboxes (20 boxes) from passerine size up to a size suitable for Owls. (The holes in the birdboxes is from 28 to 100 mm.) We have also placed out two self-made nests for Raptors, due to the lack of genuine crow-nests in the area.

You need a ticket to get access to the Birdpark and/or the hide. It is smart to contact us up front.
